Effects of Methamphetamine Withdrawal on the Psychological and Physiological Condition of Addicts

The current study aims to analyze the withdrawal effects (i.e. psychological and physiological) of methamphetamine on addicts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province Pakistan. A sample 180 users was interviewed through an interview schedule by snowball sampling technique. For testing association between independent variable withdrawal) dependent variables physiological effects) a Chi-square test administered. result illustrates that most them were youngsters up 30 years age, males single populations more exposed drug. significant found methamphetamine/ice i.e. fatigue, craving, aggression, depression, irritability, lethargy, poor concentration, sleepiness disorder, psychosis/ hallucinations, loss pleasure, physical weakness, headaches body pain, watery eyes, runny nose, dry mouth, diarrhoea temperature. establishes is toxic stimulant drug when person uses it regularly he/she will face multiple they want withdraw. recommends government should aware mass about toxicity media social arrange seminars academic institutions communities.
